Ryan Giggs might be the next to leave Manchester United

After midlfielder Paul Scholes left Manchester United, sports commentators and experts say Ryan Giggs' career as a Man U footballer might also be on the line. After a poor performance during last Saturday's UEFA title match against Barcelona, The 37-year-old has been riddled with controversy, including the questionable longevity of his playing career.
Last weekend's Champions League finals was probably Manchester United's most important game, after losing 2 years earlier to the same team on the same league. Unfortunately, Man U's midfield pack led by Giggs wasn't able enough to go against men like Messi, Iniesta, or Xavi and critics say it was because of the team's inability to accept change. This said change was pointed towards Giggs, who has been less-than-impressive on the field.
"Maybe the best tribute will always be the urgency with which they are replaced, however discouraging the task", says sports columnist James Lawton in an article posted at Belfast Telegraph. Although no confirmation has been released regarding the retirement of Ryan Giggs, it seems fans and fellow footballers agree it's time for the midfielder to focus on other endeavors. The match against Barcelona was Giggs' chance to prove he still belongs on the field despite his age, but his performance say otherwise. Manchester United might have to rethink their options when casting their new midfield section.
It is quite evident that Giggs' involvement in a tabloid controversy led to his mediocre performance on last Saturday's epic match. Not only is Giggs pressed with the uproar of angry Man U fans, he also had to digest the negative exposure of his name when the married man was allegedly caught in an affair with former Miss Wales Imogen Thomas.  "It was clear that Giggs could no longer impose the enduring talent that had at such pivotal moments illuminated his season", adds Lawton in the same report.
